Ten Graditudes

Today I am grateful for so much, it is almost overwhelming for me to think about.  When we look around at our lives, it is so easy to see the tedious and forget the magical.  Let's take a moment to step back and to focus on the blessings which are showered on us from every direction by a Spirit borne of love.

I am so grateful, today, that my brother in law Rick Litts had a clear colonscopy.  He is recovering from rectal cancer and received a clean bill of health yesterday.

I am so grateful, today, that my friend Gina DePalma, chef and author, received the news that her CT scan is completely clear.  She is an ovarian cancer survivor.

I am so grateful, today, that my mother, a breast cancer survivor, received a clean bill of health from her doctor this week and that her blood pressure is perfect.

I am so grateful, today, that my current guests have enjoyed a week of warm, beautiful weather, that they have slept well and fully relaxed.

I am so grateful, today, that I feel good, that I have gotten healthy sleep, and that I am strong enough to do the work and task at hand.

I am so grateful, today, that I have good food to eat and a roof over my head.

I am so grateful, today, that I have a partner with whom I share this interesting life, someone who interests me and challenges me, someone who I love and who loves me.

I am so grateful, today, for the friends that give me support and cheer me on.  I am especially grateful today for my friends Nancy Greer, who knows me better than I know myself, and my friend Megan McCaffrey who is constantly pushing me forward with her positive energy.

I am grateful, today, that I got all my personal laundry done because there are going to be a ton of sheets to do tomorrow!  :)

I am grateful, today, for every beautiful breeze I felt, for every flower I observed, for the blueness of the sky and the warmth of the sun.

Please, in your comments, tell us all something that you are grateful for, today!  Share your gratitude here and let's be grateful -- for each other.

I am grateful for the excitment and delight our 20 month old grandson Gabriel expresses everytime Grandma and Grandpa walk in the room...and for the "big" hugs and kisses we receive.

Diana -- I am so happy for ALL the clean bills of health in your family and for Gina. That is so so wonderful I can't even imagine how much that has lifted you up!

I am grateful for a husband who picked me up out of this crazy world and brought me along for life. And I am grateful for parents who love me as a child needs to be loved.

And grateful for a sunny kitchen curtain and a new kitchen rug!

And grateful for blogging which has brought me such wonderful friends as you, friends who lift me up constantly.

Great topic!

Your post is marvellous! You're right...we often forget to be grateful! Today I'm grateful because it has been a sunny day at the beach with my daughter!I'm grateful because I've some wonderful friends who make me feel important and loved! I'm grateful because my garden is becoming a "garden" and not a devastated area! I'm grateful to all you blogfriends who give me energies when my batteries are low! My life isn't easy, but thanks to you I find that I've a lot to be grateful!
Wish you a nice week end!
Vale

I'm grateful today because all my data, my photos and things from my broken computer are safe and because I can work again, but I'm also grateful because yesterday (once I stopped pulling my hair and worrying because I thought that everything I mentioned before was lost) I had the energy and the good humor to think that something worse could have happened and that I would find a solution anyway!
Perfect post for me today!

I'm also grateful because of the great people that are around me and help me being the positive person I am (and this includes you, my far-away friend!).

I'm grateful today for the buttery sun that poured through the forest canopy and lit up the trunk of slowly peeling birch bark as my wife and I cycled past.

So happy to hear you and you’re family (and especially your mother) are doing so good. And that you have so many friends here who helped you in this last difficult period. You should be grateful for that, I was in the same state of mind and know how difficult it is to climb out there without friends arround or any help from outside.
So I am grateful youre doing better, and absolutely grateful that Ed my husband is slowly doing better.

I love this post. I'd have to say that I am most grateful that it is summer holidays for my kids and they get a rest from the slog that is the school year here in Italy!! The past couple of weeks has seen us all doing more relaxing than we have done for a while.

Grateful for having a wonderful, happy 30 year marriage.
Living close to family to care for them when they need us.
Beautiful home in the country surrounded by a landscape that my husband lovingly designed with flowers, stone paths and walls, herbs, birds.
View of vegetable garden, fruit orchards from living room window.
A stress-free job that I chose to do -4 days a week - 5 hours a day.
Grateful that I am healthy.
Grateful for meeting Diana...and being able to follow her blog! : ) Makes me happy.

Diana - so much good news all around! I am happy for all.

I like the focus on things to be happy about because so often in our world we focus on the negative.

I am grateful to have a partner who tolerates and even appears to enjoy my faults. I am grateful that we laugh a lot as we journey through life.

I am grateful that I have a job that still stimulates me.

I am grateful for having just gone to Maine to unwind. While the weather wasn't as good as one might have hoped it was a wonderful and relaxing time.

I am grateful for the opportunity to travel with my mom (once in awhile) :-)

I am grateful that it is summer and the fresh fruits and veggies are appearing in the market. This week the luscious, sweet cherries arrived. YUM

I am grateful to have spent some time in your corner of the universe and can't wait to return.

I am grateful that I stocked up on some delicious dry rose wines last month when the weather was cool here - now that it is warm they are sold out at the store yet we are sipping away in bliss. AHHHHHH

Thank you, Diana...I am grateful that my recent discovery of blogging and twittering has re-opened up my world and reminded me of who I am and what matters to me. And I am always grateful for two nieces and a nephew that I love more that life itself...I love being that favorite aunt.

De-lurking from finding your lovely blog through Kim B.

I'm grateful for finding your wonderful voice in the blogosphere - love the name of your blog! - and for love in the world, for those who are no longer with us and those whom we're still so lucky to have in our lives.

Cheers from Sydney (and sometimes Paris).

I am grateful for my husband, who knows me so well. For his comfort, nudges when I need them, and equal partnership in this marriage thing. And backrubs.

For my sons, each astonishing in different ways. The gift of life that just gets better. For their solid hearts and minds.

For the color of the changing sky, the taste of figs in wine, the smell of bread, the texture of a lacy silk sweater, the sound of laughter.

For my parents, and their continued richly interesting lives in spite of health obstacles.

For my friends, for their humor, joy and support; and resilience when life takes a left turn.

For my work. For all the children and families who have taught me so much.

For my home, loving oasis, shelter, and financially-easy crooked joy with a fuchsia door.

I am grateful for the interesting lives I connect with online--both the happy friendships and the more challenging relationships that teach me about myself and other people.
