Coffee Cup

The stage for a perfect cup of coffee is set in the perfect cup and saucer. This is a new design which I am working on, based upon a Japanese ceremonial teacup design. The bowl shaped saucer allows for the placement of a biscuit or a sugar cube.

That's absolutely beautiful and belongs in the midst of a soothing day -- like Michelle when she was reading during the rainstorm.

My only thought is some of us need room for more than one cookie!!!!

: )

But seriously the tranquility in that green glaze and the smoothness and la 'rondeur' all come together beautifully.

Hi Diana,

This cup reminds me of the Raku pottery I've seen at this fascinating shop on Isola Bella:

The Raku is described on the artwork page. Your cup is beautiful... The shape makes me just want to cradle it in my hands and feel the warm coffee.
